Emma cooley
Emma is a brand strategist and designer that splits her time between Brooklyn, New York and Austin, Texas. After studying studio art and media communication in undergrad, she moved to New York City where she has been working as a design strategist for over three years. The ups-and-downs of 2020 brought her to the city of Austin where her creative passion drove her to become a certified graphic designer. Emma designs with a balance of simplicity and imagination; she is purposeful in her approach and resourceful in her work, finding the most inventive yet meaningful design solutions. Additionally, Emma is a published author and photographer. In free time she enjoys running outdoors and volunteering at the local animal shelter.

Project Name: Prism Campaign | |
Katie is a designer and artist living in Omaha, Nebraska. She graduated with a bachelor's in fine art but had been introduced to graphic design through some classes in college. After ending up working in finance, she still had design lingering in the back of her mind. The time during the pandemic to reflect on what was important to her led her to enroll in Shillington. Katie looks forward to combining her art background with her new design skills and is excited to flex her creativity.

Ataira Franklin is a Maryland based designer. She studied Studio Art at the University of Virginia before eventually landing into teaching art and physical education. After four years of teaching, she knew it was time for a change. She credits her former students for inspiring her to stretch her imagination beyond its limits and pursue a career in design. Ataira pivoted into a graphic design role and after coming across a Shillington ad, she knew the program was the perfect way to up-skill, challenge herself, and broaden her horizons as a designer.

Ellen Fry is a graphic designer and artist located in the USA. She has worked in the fashion industry as a product and materials developer for more than a decade. Ellen has a large sneaker collection, is a sports fanatic, enjoys spending time outdoors, loves patterns, pizza, creating art, and lives for all things design. A fun fact about Ellen is that she does not have a favorite color because she loves them all!

Carolina Garron is a graphic designer born in Bolivia and based out of Tampa, Florida. Before pursuing her passion for design, she graduated from Florida State University with a bachelor’s degree in marketing and management. With her background and new skill set, she looks forward to creating unique and meaningful brands and helping businesses bring their visions to life. In her free time, you can find her watercolor painting, traveling, and streaming her favorite shows.

Simone Hargrett is an artist and graphic designer based in Minnesota, USA. She takes pride in her ability to fearlessly create visual identities combining her love of color and typography to produce meaningful and intriguing work. Within the same calendar year, Simone graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Biology while creating work for her design portfolio at Shillington. She seamlessly combines her analytical scientific thinking with her multifaceted artistic abilities to bring clients' visions to life.

Sarah hayes
Sarah is a graphic designer based in the greater New York area. She has always loved all things arts, design, and culture and has worked at several arts non-profits in NYC. She enjoys saying she likes natural wine, reading too many reviews before purchasing, and seeing friends. Sarah is excited to dive into the world of digital design!

Jerry Kotikawatte is a Los Angeles area-based motion and graphic designer with an appetite to learn more in the world of design. He studied mathematics at UCLA but was very interested to understand the ins and outs of the design process and how it impacts our daily lives. He is excited to share his skills and knowledge with his clients and the design world.

Stacy Marshall is a web developer and graphic design enthusiast currently based out of Chicago. Looking to bring more creativity and expression into her life and level up her design skills, Stacy enrolled in Shillington. Rachel Maynes is a Graphic Designer based in Boston, MA. After studying fine art as an undergrad, Rachel worked in post-production before pursuing her passion for design. In her free time Rachel enjoys cooking, yoga, and an unhealthy dose of reality TV.

Cindy first got her start in graphic design as a kid by designing Neopets shop layouts and collecting pictures of handwriting she found in the wild. She brings her background in brand strategy, anthropology, and illustration to design thoughtful and delightful brand experiences. In her free time, she enjoys painting, baking, and making horrible dad jokes.

Anna is a Brazilian designer living in Brooklyn, NY, passionate about user experience and systems thinking. With an Information Science background, she starter her career as an information architect and has expanded her skill set and interests over time, looking to understand the full breadth of the design process, from strategy to execution.

Agnès was born and raised in the South of France, and now splits her time between AZ and OR. With over 15 years of marketing experience in agencies and on the client side, she decided to bridge the gap and add graphic design to her skillset. Agnès loves helping clients establish their brand and realize its full potential through visual story-telling and marketing strategy. When not at her computer, you can find Agnès mountain biking, skiing, doing yoga or play with her three savage dogs.

Gloria is a graphic designer and print production specialist based in Washington, D.C. Motivated by the challenge of simplifying complex information, she's interested in editorial design, web design, and public affairs campaigns. Her work is clean, smart, and resourceful. Her background in media studies and communication has led to work at the United Nations Foundation, Sundance Institute, and Washingtonian Magazine. She loves supporting and working with creatives who are diversifying the images we see and the stories we are told. Taylor is a NYC based graphic designer and copywriter. With a background in viral marketing, they are passionate about all things branding and advertising. Mostly remembered for their bleach blonde mullet, Taylor is also known for their love of bubble tea, podcasts and listening to Phoebe Bridgers on the subway. They one day hope to be creating the kind of ads on the train that make people look up and chuckle quietly to themselves before going back to scrolling Instagram. Katie Trenkwalder is a graphic designer and illustrator located in Denver, CO. She studied Design at Shillington College and Biology at University of Hawaii where she spent her days drawing rather than memorizing something other than mitochondria being the powerhouse of the cell (oops). She is currently open to all kinds of design work and freelancing but especially excited about passion projects that lead her back to her love of science, sustainability and philosophy. When she's not designing, she can be found cuddling her Great Dane Pluto, lifting weights (light weight baby!) or reading alongside a glass of Pinot.

Daniella is a 22-year-old freelance graphic designer and illustrator based out of Westchester, New York. Growing up, she has always been inspired by art, aesthetics, & everyday surroundings & would transform that inspiration into her own work. Keith Saetern is a Brooklyn-based multidisciplinary designer and creative problem solver. His work centers around conceptualizing and crafting visual solutions rooted in strategy and empathy. After several years of retail and food service management, he grew interested in the power of design in everyday life. Having recently graduated from Shillington School of Design, he is inspired and challenged to make everyday brighter, engaging, and more accessible.
